Monitoring

Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring (ABPM) is a test that measures your blood pressure over a 24-hour period. This can help doctors diagnose high blood pressure and other problems related to blood pressure.

Holter Monitoring 

A Holter monitor is a small, portable device that records your heart’s rhythm and rate. It’s used to detect abnormal rhythm activity and to correlate symptoms observed in an ECG. These could include, heart palpitations, rapid breathing or dizziness.

Exercise Tolerance
Testing

An Exercise Tolerance Test (ETT) is a diagnostic tool that helps doctors assess the function of your heart under stress. It’s often used if nothing is observed during a Holter monitor test—it can pick up issues such as angina and assess your exercise tolerance.

Cardiac Event
Monitoring

Similar to a Holter monitor, but worn for a full week, cardiac event monitors are used to correlate a patient’s heart rate and rhythm to their ECG. They’re preferred when symptoms are less frequent and for younger patients.

Oximetry

An ECG measures your heart’s electrical activity and records its rate and rhythm. It’s used to check for abnormal activity, and any indications of damage to your heart or blood vessels. They help detect problems before they become significant issues—it’s recommended everyone over the age of 45 has one. Oximetry measures your oxygen levels while you sleep.

WalkTest

This is a submaximal exercise test that measures the integrated global response of multiple cardiopulmonary and musculoskeletal systems involved in exercise. The test provides information about functional capacity and response to therapy. As well as prognosis across a broad range of chronic and cardiopulmonary conditions.
